Greetings From Shanghai!

We arrived into Shanghai at about 7pm last night. Our flight over was such a blessing! Mike was able to upgrade us to Business class by using his frequent flyer miles. As soon as we sat down they offered us orange juice and champagne. We had lots of leg room and our seats almost fully reclined. It was like sleeping in a barcalounger. The food was excellent and we could watch as many movies as we wanted. They had little individual TV's that folded out so that we could watch what we liked. We spent the 13 hours or so sleeping, watching movies and reading. Unfortunately, we won't have that on the way back home but we were thankful to have it on the trip over. We are using Skype to call Zoe regularly. It was fun talking to her last night and finding out what she had been doing.
The airport in Shanghai is super clean and modern - much nicer than our airports at home. We were able to sleep some last night but we woke up at about 2:30am Shanghai time. I brought some Starbucks Via with us so we had a cup of coffee and ate cheddar bunnies in bed:) This afternoon we fly out of Shanghai and arrive in Changsha, which is capital of Joelle's province. We are so looking forward to seeing what her province looks like. I hear it is just beautiful! The hotel we are staying at here in Shanghai is located in the airport. It reminds me of Las Vegas- dark with shall we say very creative decor. There are fake palm trees located in the middle covered in gold foil. We will try to post again when we get to Changsha. Love, Sherrie and Mike
