Tomorrow's the Big Day!

We made it to Changsha! We took a two hour plane ride that was pretty uneventful except there were people coughing, hacking and snorting all around us. We were praying that we would not catch anything. We are finding that we are not as adventurous as we were five years ago when we came. It also seems that we have less access to western foods. I used to think we were pretty adventurous but we had trouble eating anything much on the buffet at our hotel in Changsha. Some of the choices were - Snake, duck tongue and baby turtle.
We should get Joelle around 3pm tomorrow! We have the morning free and then our guide, Vicky, is going to take us shopping for items we might need. Then we are off the the Civil Affairs Bureau to meet our daughter! She will have a two hour ride to get to us because she is coming from Changning. We were talking to Vicky about Hunan province and she said it is known for spicy food and spicy girls! We may be in trouble....... Love you guys!

    This is sooooo exciting to follow. Thank-you for keeping us posted. I thought you would be meeting Joelle at her childrens home? Does she go back after you meet her tomorrow and do you get to go back with her? I cant wait to read tomorrow's update.....
